Calling All Disabled Atheists and the People Who Love Them!

Disabled atheists face unique issues in today’s world. We as a community need to be talking about them.

Hello. I’m Limping Lilith.

I wrote opened this blog a couple of years ago to talk about the issues involved with navigating the world as a disabled atheist, and it didn’t go very far…I’d like to take another stab at it.

Because I’ve had had 23 years to get used to living with being disabled, and I’m pretty much okay with my body and my life. But it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of discourse in the atheist community about disability, especially about issues that affect us uniquely. And I sometimes see some ableism when it does get talked about.

So that’s why I’m here – to talk about being a disabled atheist and hopefully get some feedback from other disabled atheists about the issues that affect us. I’ll probably talk about some other stuff too, because I’m kind of a politics junkie and I’m into a bunch of other stuff too.

But I’m really here for you, disabled atheists.

Because I know you’re out there, y’all. Email me at lilith@atheistwithacane.com to let me know what you’d like to hear about! -Lilith
